We're introducing additional call controls for Google Meet that let you toggle between mute and unmute using your headset, speaker microphone, and other USB peripherals.

Why is it important?
Video conferencing has become a cornerstone of the hybrid work experience, with Google Meet Help promote communication and collaboration for teams of all sizes. This also means that people will consider using peripherals, from headsets, speakers, mute buttons, and more, as they are essential for the video conferencing experience.
To help make your meeting experience even smoother, you can conveniently mute or unmute yourself using a USB peripheral. Additionally, you can use the LED color change on your device to determine when you are muted or unmuted. We plan to expand this functionality to mute video, end meetings, and more in the future.
